October is always a big reflection month for me, but this time that’s really been the case because not only did I turn 28 last week—

I also moved back to India after nearly two decades of living in different countries + continents, hired our very first team member (S/O to Vivansha for making this whirlwind month possible for me!), and we’ve been prepping to expand our services beyond social media.

More than just milestones, these turning points have led me to reflect and set intentions for where I want to go from here. Before starting Outloud, my headspace was a lot of… “what am I really doing in this job?” or “is this where I want to be for the rest of my life?”

But taking this leap a year and a half ago—to start freelancing, to just begin posting on this page and putting my ideas out there, and to work with clients and brands that I actually align with—has given me the freedom to not box myself into those questions.

So here’s your reminder to let go of the rigid expectations and timelines you might be putting on yourself. Your success isn’t defined by how you’re doing whatever it is you’re doing. It’s defined by the fact that you’re doing something, building a life, and on a journey, that genuinely feels true to you.

Embrace the inconveniences that come your way, lean into those lessons, and create something meaningful on your terms. Future you will be so grateful for it.
